Treatment with a dental microscope
It’s calm, gentle, and done with care; many of our patients say it’s the first time they’ve actually felt relaxed during a treatment.
When it’s needed
Root canal treatment may be necessary if you have:
pain when biting or chewing,
lingering sensitivity to hot or cold,
swelling or tenderness around a tooth,
or a tooth that has darkened after trauma or decay.
Sometimes the infection develops quietly, without strong pain. That’s why we always check suspicious teeth under magnification to catch early changes and save the tooth in time.
Why the microscope matters
Inside every tooth are canals thinner than a human hair. The microscope allows the doctor to see these tiny details clearly, remove the infection completely, and seal the canals precisely, even in complex or curved roots. This technology often helps us save teeth that might otherwise be removed.
Many of our patients come to us after hearing from another clinic that their tooth “can’t be saved.” Thanks to the precision of the microscope and the experience of our endodontists we’ve successfully treated many such cases and helped patients keep their natural teeth.
How the treatment goes
The treatment is painless with local anesthesia.
All cases are individual. Sometimes it is possible to finish everything in one visit. If a tooth has been treated before and needs retreatment, it can take a bit longer and may require a couple of appointments.
At the first visit, the doctor carefully removes the inflamed or infected tissue inside the tooth, cleans and disinfects the canals under the microscope, and places a temporary filling this allows the tooth to rest and heal.
At the second visit, the canals are checked again, sealed with a biocompatible material, and the tooth is restored with a permanent filling.
Generally we advise all patients to install a crown on a endo-treated tooth; such teeth are not as strong as their "live" siblings and require additional support and protection by a crown.
Each appointment lasts around 1.5–2.5 hours, depending on the number and complexity of canals.
Re-treatment under a microscope
If a tooth was treated at another clinic but started hurting again, or if an infection reappeared, microscope-assisted re-treatment allows the doctor to remove the old filling, find missed canals, and restore the tooth properly without extraction.
If you suspect a problem or were told your tooth can’t be saved, come for a consultation. Our doctors will examine the tooth, take an X-ray if needed, and explain your treatment options clearly.
